Physics Software and Computing Work Package
Coordinators: Brieuc François, David Lange

Mandate:

The mandate of the Physics Software and Computing (PSC) work package is to develop and maintain the software infrastructure needed to support the various PED activities, and to ensure that adequate computing resources are available for the required studies.
During the FCC reference design phase, the team will focus on designing flexible tools to assess the performance of the proposed detectors and the physics reach of the facility, thereby enabling the optimization of the detector designs. A second key objective is to strengthen the integration of Machine–Detector Interface (MDI) developments within the software ecosystem used for detector studies. Finally, the team will engage with the broader community to define a possible common, cross-experiment computing model.

Documentation:
The main web page of Software and Computing group gives all the relevant information. A FCC starter kit is being continuously improved to reflect the current status of things.
The FCC software is publicly available on github, and relies heavily on the Key4hep common software project.
A dedicated forum is available for user support and discussion.
